When Spyderco introduced the first Sprint Run Shaman combining the traditional look of brown canvas Micarta scales and CPM CRU-WEAR blade steel, Spyderco was overwhelmed by the response. Later dubbed Cru Carta, this distinctive pairing of old-school, high-performance materials became an instant classic. To ensure Spyderco could meet customer demand when Spyderco applied the Cru Carta treatment to other models, Spyderco decided to make them full-line products, not limited editions. Spyderco began with the Para Military 2 and are now proud to add four more USA-made models to this elite family. All feature skeletonized full stainless steel liners, slim brown canvas Micarta scales, and CPM CRU-WEAR tool steel blades that offer an outstanding balance of edge retention and toughness.
